During my senior year, I ran into a girl at the store who had recently asked my buddy to a girl’s choice dance. She
asked me if he was disappointed and I said that he hadn’t mentioned to me that he was disappointed. Instead of leaving it there, I added jokingly: “I mean, look at the dude. It’s not like he was gonna pull a super model or anything…”
I think all the time about how I basically told that girl she was a homely person. I can even remember the shock/hurt in her face when I said it.
