For those of you who tow long distances with your half ton pick ups, how close to the max specs are you comfortable with
If you've got tow specs of 950lb tongue weight and 9,500 trailer weight are you comfortable maxing that out? Or do you try to keep it less than that to provide yourself a bit more comfort?

We might do a road trip this year with a bumper pull travel trailer. Looking at about 29' with a dry weight of ~5,000lbs and loaded weight of about 7,000lbs. So it is well within the specs of my truck. But it got me thinking, what are experienced pullers comfortable with and what kind of limits do you put on what you'll hook up to your truck?

I checked out a JayCo Jay Flight travel trailer today. These are not our fathers’ RVs. (Tokolosh, May 5, 2022 at 8:18pm)
