Slim Intervention Needed
My daughter has developed this habit of saying she has a headache when she doesn’t want to do something. Or a tummy ache
usually school related. She is in first grade and I get the sense that this is what her friends do as well based on stuff she’s told me about them getting checked out of school.

It’s hard because I’ve personally seen what a disaster your life can be when you let your emotions cause physical manifestations of illness and you completely shut down and end up way over medicated.

So I’ve told her that I will never let her get out of doing school work because she says she has a headache.

Well today she tried it again . And I gave her some children’s Tylenol and made her do her homework with me anyway. I just can’t stand the thought of her getting sick every time she has to do something she doesn’t want to.

Last time I thought she was doing this though she later ended up spending two days puking. So it sucks because I always worry now that I’m wrong
