It was expected I take lessons until I could play the hymns. I hated it at first
But fell in love with in during 8th grade. It’s been one of the great joys of my life.
I never have to be in a meeting with no music, I have a way to serve without any preparation, at BYU I made $18/hr playing for the ballet classes, it’s a major stress reliever just sitting down to play at home.
Super grateful they made me stick with it for a few years.
