Pretty surprised Utah doesn't have more support for school bands at younger ages with how musical a lot of people are in the church.

Force them to learn music. Start them at the age they start to read.

We did that with all of our kids, one absolutely rebelled after a couple years

It was expected I take lessons until I could play the hymns. I hated it at first

Yes, we force them to do piano. They are generally fine with it. We also make them join Orchestra or Band in 5th grade

I was forced to play piano or not allowed to play in sports. I wish I had been forced to play the guitar though. If

We required our children to take piano lessons. We were lucky that all enjoy

We had them play starting in elementary school, through the school. It's just
