We seriously need to run pipelines of water from the northwest and east coast as
Well as California needs to start desalination. Those things would help a lot with our water issues out west.

Colorado wasn't nearly this bad last year. Fortunately Wyoming is mostly OK, and ID/MT are, too.

Does snowpack really mean all that much at this point in the year?

Most of the melt starts now and river flow peaks in a month or so. So yeah it does.

April 1 is when it means the most because that's typically the height of the snowpack each spring. But it still matters

California could also start using their delta water for crops instead of saving

And what does that have to do with reallocating stupid government spending to desalination projects?

The Columbia river dumps 265,000 cubic ft/second into the Pacific. That is a
flyzag

We could build it plenty fast enough of we were desperate and needed it.
