MASSIVE amount of water, just being dumped into the ocean EVERY SECOND. Unfortunately, it would be too expensive to engineer a water pipeline to CA. Can you imagine the 30 year environmental impact study alone...

Most of the melt starts now and river flow peaks in a month or so. So yeah it does.

April 1 is when it means the most because that's typically the height of the snowpack each spring. But it still matters
