My wife got her real estate license during COVID mostly for fun but friends/family/and maybe future investment opportunities. If she applies her buyers agent commission to a house that we’re buying are we able to avoid taxation on those gains? Or does the IRS find out about this somehow? I know Uncle Sam always finds his greedy little hands in my pockets one way or another.
