By the looks of it, this kid has been receiving a lot of hype for most of his high school career. Most of the offers came early when he was still in Tennessee. He played very well his junior year and they say he was on track to be Tennessee's Mr. Basketball.
Playing for donda academy didn't work too well for him. Reduced playing time and a selfish style of play really hurt his minutes. One positive is he's been very committed to basketball for the past year. He's mentioned that he would do zoom classes in the morning and then meet with his trainer and train for most of the day. He's gotten use to putting in the work.
One cool side note. He's mentioned he wants to go somewhere where it feels like family. This is a Christian kid from tennessee with no prior connections to the program, and Pope was able to introduce him to BYU and sell him on the BYU experience. Excited to see him play this next year.
