Traffic away from games is surprisingly smooth considering how many people are leaving IMO
I've tried to leave a game at RES and at a UNLV game before with much less leaving and have been stuck for over an hour.

Be patient on the way out. City streets can only handle so many cars per minute. After a game there are suddenly 20,000
