Is it possible to find where sprinkler PVC pipes are, without digging?

I am planning to redo some things in the backyard. I bought the house with a finished backyard and do not know the layout of the sprinkler lines. Is there a way to figure out the layout without hunting and digging random holes?

It’s crazy but I have seen it work many times, not a 100% but 75% time or

It's pretty easy. We did it to find an old septic tank. I've found drain tiles.

I've heard of people using sticks. I've never seen it. Were they wooden sticks?

Yes. One time he used two pieces of wire and one time sticks or more like switches. It was amazing and spot on

No. You can find plenty of buried things. Anything that disturbs the earth.
