I was talking to by brother who lives in a small town in the western half of Virginia about me working with my neighbor to replace a dilapidated wooden fence with a vinyl one. He asked whose property it was one and I said it was probably a foot on his and then I asked why he asked. He said that a few years ago he didn't even think of asking his neighbor to help with the expense of a common fence that was on his property. My brother is not a jerk, but he didn't even think of asking his neighbor and it never occurred to me to think about whose property a needed fence was on. What gives?
