I remember a number of years ago I took my family to Disneyland.
It was in early-to-mid December so all the Christmas decorations, festivities, were out but it was before the park had reached peak craziness like it does in late December. Anyways, we had just gotten back to the park from an afternoon nap at the hotel and found a spot along the parade route to watch the parade (which happened to be their seasonal Christmas parade of course). Only being an hour or so before the parade most of the spots were already taken. However, the was a decently large spot next to the bathrooms across from the Matterhorn that had some open places to sit. As there were only 3 of us in our group (me, my wife, and my oldest child), we didn't need much space to see the parade and we were able to lay down a small blanket and sit on it to reserve a spot in the front of that viewing area. That was about it for our own spot as nobody really encroached on our spot.

However, there was a group that sat down next to us. I don't remember how large they were, but IIRC they had a stroller and then placed another blanket down for the rest of their family to sit on. Anyways, shortly before the parade started, another couple of people (I think it was a mom and her daughter or something) were scrambling for a place to sit and watch the parade. They decided they would simply push the stroller back a few feet and stand in front of it to watch (the stroller still had a child in it - it wasn't just an empty stroller). The family got upset and said that they were already in that spot and that they needed to find their own spot. The lady responded by saying that there were not other spots around and so they were just going to have to let her move into their spot to watch the parade and refused to leave. Eventually a cast member saw the disagreement and interjected to see if they could solve the issue. After determining that the family was their first, they told the other lady that she couldn't sit there and instead offered to help her find another place to sit (I think they ended up letting her sit in some reserved seating area just to pacify everyone and avoid unhappy park-goers).

My main thoughts were first that I was surprised (though maybe I shouldn't have been) that someone would so brazenly butt their way into someone else's spot they had clearly been sitting in. Second, I was impressed with how quickly park staff stepped in and resolved the solution in a way where everyone walked away happy.
