stuff like that going on in the world. He has a few years. He can barely comprehend how the world works beyond our neighborhood, much less a mass shooting across the country.

I get that wars, terror, etc. is other people's reality, but fortunately it isn't mine where I live. I plan to educate my kids on varying realities and perspectives of others throughout the world, but we are still working on the milk before the meat.
