It’s because the state legislature is not going to pony up for football
UVU is the largest public University in the state and is the least funded from the state. They would need someone to give them 100 million plus another 100 million endowment just to start up. Then they might get enough from the state to keep it going.

They have property for a stadium in Vineyard, but nowhere near the funds to build and maintain a program.
