I highly doubt Pope wants to settle for a more "reasonable" recruiting approach — but it's looking to me like if we don't do our due diligence in signing our Tanner Christensens & our Isaac Johnsons when they come along — that we're gonna be perennially left limping to the finish line like we did last season.
I very much support Pope & what he's doing, but man, at the moment I wish he'd been a bit more modest in his outlook. Part of me HAS to wonder how differently Njie's recruiting might've panned out had we not swung so hard for the fences early with King.
