Home school saved us for a few years.

But, all things being equal, I prefer that my kids get the experience of attending school. I worry that the reason why many kids who homeschool seem weird is that the type of parent who chooses homeschool for their kids is often weird. And their reasoning for homeschool (wanting their kids to be separated from the "weirdness" of society) often perpetuates the problem.
