It will be interesting when this trickles down to the high school level.
I expect that you will have kids with high hopes ditching home town high schools for schools that have great coaching and offenses set up to highlight the player.

Completely ridiculous. It's one thing to let a player make money signing autographs or hosting a skills camp

Why? Did people really think this would be autographs and skills camps?

I don’t see a problem with it. Free market.

Free market also leads to monopolies, which tend to be problematic

This is already the case. Just more of the same.

Most of the time the free market leads to competition and regulation

Monopolies are great for the economy long term. Unlike the board game when

Monopolies eventually eliminate choice. Not good for economy, short or long term

Assuming artificial barriers of entry are eliminated, it is in the best interest

This can't be sustainable - even for those paying the players

So dumb. When an NCAA school NIL is paying an 18 year old more than an NFL QB, you got issues.

is college football a bigger business than the NFL?

No, unless you also think MLB is a bigger deal than the NFL because they have more inventory.

Because one is salary, the other NIL aka marketing. Aaron Rodgers get $2M per for State Farm.
