NFL salaries are one thing. People pay to buy tickets and watch on TV. That revenue then is passed to owners who pass it to players.
NIL is basically just sponsorships. Why would someone pay an unproven high school player $8 million in sponsorships. Their money would be better spent on any professional athlete. Even if you LOVE your school, $8 million is too much.
