the third party is unhelpful.
I had a flight cancellation and needed to cancel a rental car and Travelocity claims that understaffing made it so they couldn’t get a hold of the rental car company to get the refund. So I just lose 500$. The rental car company approved the refund. They said Travelocity needed to contact them to process the refund. I’ve been on the phone with Travelocity several times sometimes for an hour trying to get them to do it. But they either can’t or won’t. And they’ve said twice now they’ve given up. I don’t get it. It seems they’ve tried. But something is broken in their communication with other companies. It might be the rental car companies fault too. But the third party just seems so unnecessary to me now.
They are good a taking the money. Very attentive. Not so good at giving it back.
Please don’t support them with your business. Use them to find stuff… but then book direct.
