What to coaches “get” that fans don’t?
All I’m saying is Amber Whiting should put every effort into recruiting her daughter, an objectively awesome basketball player, to join her new team at BYU. If she’s going to build her program around good recruiting, then this is the lowest of low-hanging fruits.
If coach Whiting puts every effort into recruiting her daughter, and her daughter still turns her down to play at Oregon, then so be it. Kind of embarrassing, and not a good look for BYU, but at least she tried.
The whole conversation started because some CBers claimed they wouldn’t even want their kid to play for them if they were coaches, and that’s just dumb. Any coach who passes on an elite player just because they share DNA is dumb.
