BYU is also what I love about it.

I love that it is affiliated with the church and openly teaches what the church teaches.

I love that everyone who goes to BYU signs an honor code to live by certain rules. That those rules follow closely with BYU's mission.

I love that the Church subsidizes tuition for its members and yet still continues to run an elite academic institution.

I love that we have coaches that have this same philosophy. A football coach who takes the high road whenever possible and preaches a family atmosphere.

If I wanted to follow a team that goes all in on winning I would follow Ohio St, or Alabama or Texas A&M. I don't. I follow the school that I love for all of the reasons above.

BYU is not perfect, and I have been on this board complaining about much of what I feel can be fixed. But I love BYU largely for the reasons that keep us from ever becoming Alabama.
