Still couldn't be much happier for Davis. As a UDFA, He will have earned around $20M in his career even if he is cut
after this season, has started 4 years in the league so far, has been able to spend his 5 seasons in the NFL near where he grew up, and he is only 27 years old.
If he is cut after next season, he likely lands a solid deal for a few more years as a veteran presence on a team with the right scheme/fit where he can play out the deal and retire in his early 30s and do whatever he wants for the next 50 years of his life.
