Eagle project 15 years later
15 years ago my youngest son completed his Eagle project. He solicited donations for trees to be planted in the American Fork cemetery. His effort consisted of asking businesses for donations (biggest contributors were banks and local branches of big businesses, like Walmart and Lowes). Most donations were in cash, Lowes donated a few trees from their garden center. He also organized volunteers that helped plant the trees. He ended up with about $800 in cash donations (that the sexton used to purchase trees of his choice and a few trees. Here are some pictures of some of the trees today. I'm proud of the enduring benefit his efforts produced.
