level in most military docs is quite low. BTW, one of the reasons for that is because A) military docs are frequently at the bottom of their class which yields few, if any, offers of residency programs so they end up joining the military and B) they don't do any residency at all....they just graduate from Med School and go straight to practicing medicine.
