Only things I can think of in a situation like this is that the burden of caring for her dad was too much with his terminal illness and she snapped? Or maybe he asked for an "assisted suicide" (maybe the more extreme, unlikely scenario) and she was doing him a favor. Or maybe she thought she would be doing him a favor and made the choice herself. Not sure.

I know she has a little boy, so he will be without a mom. Just sad for everyone.
