limited interaction with the family prior to it happening, but not enough to know the family dynamics or that there could have been something wrong going on. Mapleton definitely got shaken for a bit. There was also that teen that was killed in the car crash on the highway going into Mapleton from Springville. His parents are well-known in the community and that also impacted quite a few people.
