This one needs to be put down. It has shown a propensity towards violence. I don't know where your wife stands on this. Women tend to be a lot more forgiving in my experience in these type of circumstances. I hope she is okay and obviously makes a full recovery, but it's bad enough this dog attacked her. Next time it could kill a child. I would try to be as neighborly as possible about it and inform them of what you would like to see done and telling them why.
