This is a 1st world problem but I am pissed.

Last fall we decided that our pool liner had to be replaced because it's 10+ years old and started to leak.

We contacted the pool company and they said it would be $4k and they needed 1/2 down to secure our place in line. Fast forward to last week and the pool company came out and changed out our liner. Got the pool open, happy kids for the summer......

Well, today my wife went to the pool company to pay the other 1/2 of our bill and they told her it would be $5k!?! What, you said it would be $4k so it's another $1k?

NO, It's another $5k on top of the $2k that we already paid........$7k for a freaking liner that 8 months ago was $4k. What the crap........

Had they told me that the price went up over 50% BEFORE they took the liner out I would have canceled and had them give my $2k back.

What is wrong with companies and their crappy communication?

I'm livid but I don't really think I have any recourse.....thoughts?
