I still think BYU should have taken the ASU route with
ND.
ND tried to do the same thing with ASU, and ASU made a public stink about it until ND caved.

Notre Dame was either going to pay the buyout or do this. BYU took the better option. They were not coming to Provo.

BYU didn't "need" Notre Dame for 2022. They could have just as easily found someone else and the rest of the schedule

Of course. It's ridiculous what we did to get that extra game. Should have just forced them to pay us.
