At least he acknowledged that the main issue they had last year in losses was stopping the run. On the other hand, who’d they actually recruit that will help the DL be more stout against the run? They continue to think that the players who weren’t very good at stopping the run will magically get better this year. They may improve but we don’t have a Tonga back there. They schemed like we did last year. Get more guys into the box to defend the run!!! Some of our lbs and our safeties play back in a different time zone. When your outmatched in the box (and you don’t have Tonga to bail you out) is it a surprise that you are giving up 4-6 ypc and long drives? Not even mentioning the lack of pressures on third downs after the first few games??
