Very few teams outside the SEC could compete with that many key injuries.

You can only expect so much depth and development at BYU especially when there was no end to independence in sight and one of the premier defensive coaches in CFB was/is recruiting against them less than an hour away. Maybe the coordinators have some blame in the injury department but we don't know that. What we do know is recruiting is picking up steam and when they had a healthy defense, they were aggressive and efficient.

I just looked up our stats for opponent's 3rd down conversion. So not 3rd and long, per se, but still relevant.
