As mentioned elsewhere, this will likely be the most watched BYU game in history. It will not be the most watched Notre Dame game ever.
If we're dealing with just the present case, a marquee team.came to us and asked to play a game that would get us tons of attention and money. That's a huge win. The only reason we're upset about it is whatever ND did (or didn't do) years ago

Notre Dame was either going to pay the buyout or do this. BYU took the better option. They were not coming to Provo.

BYU didn't "need" Notre Dame for 2022. They could have just as easily found someone else and the rest of the schedule

Of course. It's ridiculous what we did to get that extra game. Should have just forced them to pay us.
