That doesn't explain the hate from the fans. Because those same fans weren't
alive when that perceived slight happened to their school. And I would wager that many of the current fans of Utah State grew up either BYU or Utah fans, not Utah State fans- unless they grew up in Cache Valley or had parents who were die hard Aggie fans. Most USU fans I know today were students there in the 80's, 90's and beyond but didn't grow up cheering for them. I'm not mocking that either, just pointing out that your logic doesn't hold water with their own fans.
