1. He's a very likeable guy. I certainly don't wish any harm to him or his family.
2. He's just not a very good DC. His defenses work fine against most G5 and weak P5 schools but won't work against any better teams.
3. Tuiaki had very little experience before getting the DC job. He wouldn't have gotten one anywhere else without being Kalani's buddy.
4. Tuiaki wouldn't be able to get a better job as a DC (let alone a HC job) at any P5 school.
5. His defenses have been consistently mediocre or below average (outside of one very weak schedule in 2020).
6. BYU can and should hire a better DC before we start B12 play.
Again, my opinion.
