I watched a 40th Anniversary showing of The Thing tonight (it was awesome). One unexpectedly great thing: no previews.
It’s nice to watch a movie in the theaters without 25 minutes of stupid commercials, without spoiler-filled movie previews and without messages about how great the movie-theater chain is.

Also, the 1 hour 49 minute movie is a lot easier to keep focused and sit through without a bathroom break when I don’t sit through the first 25 minutes of stuff before the movie even starts.

I say let me watch movie previews on the internet (or I can skip the spoilers and just not watch the previews). Skip the stupid pre-movie commercials and get right to the movie I paid to watch.
