My experience at airshows (not HAFB) is.....the base is huge, the runway is huge
You can see the performance from anywhere in the vicinity. Maybe show center is a big deal, but the noise and formations are viewable from such a large area, you don't need to be right "on the line" having gotten there early.
I showed up midday at Joint Base Andrews a couple years back and I mean...the show is visible from all over.
