World Championship events. Guys I beat went to the Olympics.
I lost my fitness on my mission and never got back to that level. Mission killed my killer instinct. It also re-shaped my priorities. I was also constantly injured after trying to come back from 2 years off. Not saying others can't do it, but I think it definitely makes things harder if you were at the highest levels before your mission.
