Mackinnon is a work horse in the off-season. I think he rightfully inspires those around him to work harder. The same way Karl Malone did for the Jazz. When teammates cannot question team leader's work ethic, or skill, it is hard to NOT try your best.

However, losing this could be a blow too big for some on the team I think. Mackinnon is worth a lot of money, he is going to demand a lot in his next contract, I don't know how Colorado keeps the right pieces around him.
