So I am 100% supportive of the prayer before a game. But similar to a blessing on the food a quick prayer of gratitude is sufficient in my book.
Back in 2004, when Notre Dame came to town. . . there was a freaking 5-7 minute prayer about sportsmanship and being a light of the gospel through sportsmanship, followed by a video with Chad Lewis talking about how BYU fans should have an 'A+' attitude and show good sportsmanship. Since that prayer before the Notre Dame game in 2004 I can't really think of any opening sermons, but are there other examples?
