Riffing off of Hank's post, reminded me of this B-52 carrier fly-by


Typical flight deck of a carrier is 70 feet off the water.

In Nav school, one of my instructors was a B-52 Navigator that had video of them doing low-level training in the Colorado River canyons where they were flying below the rim of the canyons. The skills and confidence to take such a large aircraft into those canyons has always impressed me.
