All-Star. I prepared my 11 year-old for this recently. I said, "your team is gonna get 2 all-Star players, who are they gonna be"? He named the best player and then said, "either me or Joe". I then said, "Coach is selecting the all-star players, who do you think he will pick?" he then said, "his son and our best player". It made it so much easier when wasn't selected to see it from the selection perspective.

FYI, this coach's son isn't even top 5 on our team, but it is the way it goes. In the all-star tourney last week, coach's son walked 6 batters in top of first inning. 🤷
