Anyone know if BYU's (baseball) recruiting strategy is changing? Big12 is coming up and there's also the transfer portal. Is the roster solely comprised of LDS church members? I know football/basketball adds non-members to their rosters. Looks like in the past there is a heavy pull from right within Utah, which is probably a direct result of recruiting budget constraints. I think it's limiting them from good players, especially those that might be from the east. Also most Big12 teams get verbal commits from HS players early, but BYU only has one 2024 verbal commit. BYU HS baseball camp is this week and Haring is in AZ recruiting. Hope Pratt and the rest of the staff kept their eyes open for possible studs that proactively went to them.
