1. Go strong after UW and Oregon.
If the B1G is indeed staying pat for now, the BIG12 suddenly has leverage. “You can join a stable conference now, or we will go after several of your conference mates and leave you homeless.” Force their hand. Sure, it’s a threat, but it’s not an empty one.
Unless UW and Oregon have some off-the-record assurances from the B1G, they must be feeling as anxious and desperate as the rest of us. The BIG12, while not ideal, might be their only perceived lifeline.
And make no mistake, this would be a HUGE addition to the BIG12. Both top-tier programs for the league.
2. If UW and Oregon balk, go after the 4 programs that bring the most clout and revenue potential. Not sure who that is…
