Plays so unbelievably well it forces Ohio State to beat them in the rose bowl, then they’re SO desirable that it forces the B1G to take USC and UCLA instead, then tell Oregon and UW that they’re waiting to see if ND will join, in which case they’d take Stanford, if not they’ll take Oregon and UW. They’re so valuable that the B1G can’t afford to take them.
