1) The Zags look to be about on the same competitive level that they were last year. Not having Holmgren is a factor, but not having so many raw players is a plus. More depth but no unicorn. Should dominate even more so this coming year than last.
2) Only two teams look better on paper. San Diego for sure. Portland a little bit.
3) The rest of the upper tier which made the WCC decent last year will be lesser teams. Go down the list: SMC, SCU, and USF. The latter might be somewhat comparable but probably not.
4) One bid ... because too many pre-season games will be losses instead of what happened in 2021.
5) The WCC tournament will be anti-climatic because no upset stands a chance. Again, one bid.
