I think it's the result of us previously comparing apples to Oranges
We've been reading that the Big 12 will have $40M+ payouts to schools.
And that the PAC12 TV deal is going to be something like $300M/yr. Divide by 10 and that you get $30M, so clearly $10M less.
The issue is that the Big 12 payout includes all sources of revenue, whereas the PAC12 TV deal we're talking about would only be for Tier 1/2 media rights. It's distinctly possible that with Tier 3, sponsorships, branding, NY6 payouts etc that the total payout is an extra $10M beyond just what they get from the Tier 1/2 TV deal
