-Big12/Yormark being very aggressive and wanting to get a deal done quickly. A lot of good things to say about Yormark.
-going after the 4 schools mentioned already with hopes of trying to get UO and Washington if they don’t/can’t go to Big 10.
Also that the 4 schools add value and it’s not really a question if they do or don’t.
Also, that the PAC 12 don’t see the Big 12 as an obvious place to go like the Big 10 or SEC.
-Pac 12 holding tight last year and missing out on opportunity to get schools from big12 when they came knocking.
-reason for starting media rights deal is to try and get valuation for the schools looking to leave. Although they think at the end of day it still won’t be a high value.
-the alliance with ACC will hopefully add enough value to up the media rights deal. The interesting part was this “The ACC is stuck in a media rights deal that essentially depreciates in value and doesn’t expire until 2036 — would a deal with the Pac-12 allow the ACC to renegotiate such a (bad) deal? It’s a question that administrators across the country are asking. ”
-Oregon and UW hold the cards in the Pac 12 and think they are the most valuable and more valuable than any Big12 school. What they do will decide the fate of Pac12
-talked about Notre Dame as well
Trying to get to work so may be more in there
