I think that it is time that the state legislature realize what the Oregon and Washington state legislatures have known all along — state schools need to be in the same conference. To that end, Utah State should open its doors and welcome back the poor, downtrodden Utes that seem to be looking for home.

I think that an annual rivalry game in November, possibly for the Mountain West championship (in rare years when the Boise State third-string QB is starting or the San Diego State defense has been decimated) would be a wonderful feather in the state's cap.

The state legislature needs to get this done . . . for the good of all Utahns.
