I still can't wrap my head around SC & UCLA playing 4 long-distance road
conference games. I am assuming they get at least 3 every year in their division and then another 1 in a cross-divisional game. On paper, people think oh it's just an extra hour of flight time but I'm telling you it's going to be harder to do than people think. And if SC plays at ND in some years that will make 5 long road trips. And their 3 non-conference games, at least one has to be on the road or neutral right? Where are they going to get that game? Stanford? MWC? Neutral site game in LA or Vegas? And what decent team will play at USC or UCLA without getting a return game? Watching them go through this is going to be interesting and I have a hard time it stays like this for very long. Maybe that's why Oregon, Washington, et al are holding out for - until the SoCal teams realize that playing so many games far away from home is not conducive to having great seasons. Talk about the Benjamins all you want but this eventually is going to be an issue.
